EASY TO DEAL WITH

Used Advanti before having health issues I found them the best. Yes you can get cheaper but not the same cover, you only get what you pay for. Reviewed on: 31st July 2017

They deliver on their promises

We took out travel insurance with Avanti after my husband completed his treatment for cancer. We were travelling to the USA and remaining for 60 days. The sales staff were helpful, the cover was good and the premium very competitive. This can often apply to many insurers but the crunch comes when you have to make a claim. Unfortunately my husband was unwell while we were away (thankfully not related to his cancer) and we had to seek medical assistance and received treatment. In doing this we followed the process set out in the insurance policy. On our return we presented our claim to Avanti which was settled very promptly. This is the acid test which Avanti passed with flying colours. We will be renewing our annual policy with them in November ready for Australia early next year. thank you Avanti for not writing off us oldies or loading the premiums so much we are unable to make the most of our retirement. Reliable Insurance.

Bicycle Accident

I had an accident with a bicycle pedal in May when holidaying in Spain. I thought that it would heal quickly and my July/August trip to Finland would not be affected. However, the wound did not heal well and I was still receiving daily treatment in the UK when my departure for Finland came around. I have an annual policy with Avanti and new that I would have to inform them of my situation in spite of making no claims on my travel policy (all my treatment in Spain was taken care of under my European Health Insurance Card - it won't be when Brexit takes place!). My GP confirmed that I was fit to travel to Finland although I would continue to require treatment for the wound (cleaning & dressing). The Avanti customer services representative contacted the insurance underwriters and confirmed that I could continue with the annual travel insurance without any increase in premium, although any claim relating to my Spanish bicycle accident would not be covered. I considered this to be fair. Again my European Health Insurance Card covered me for the treatment that I have been having in Finland (visiting local medical centre on alternate days), and the leg is finally getting better. Value, courteous service and speed

I have been with another company for years and because my health had changed at that time the cost of insurance was exceptionally high. Spoke to Avanti and got a superb instant costing. Will now be able to travel without worry. My health is back to normal now but will certainly stay with Avanti Reviewed on: 31st July 2017

Re-payment of Travel Insurance.
