I found a better deal close to the time to no avail

I found a better deal close to the time of the new mortgage - essentially exactly the same deal I had but without an upfront fee attached, however it was suggested I may miss the deadline for the new mortgage as I’d need to start the whole application process again; so didn’t. In hindsight, should have. So in summary my mortgage deal cost our family (me my wife and kids) £1000 more than it could have done. Reviewed on: 27th February 2025

I contacted better.co to get advice on my mortgage options as a foreign citizen with pre settled status. My advisor was super helpful explaining my to me how mortgages function in the UK and we got a plan sorted. He also put me in touch to get mortgage insurance added. Reviewed on: 27th February 2025
