By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Best car insurance by far

I have been with by miles for 2 years now and it’s been the best decision I’ve made. I don’t do many miles a year and it was really unfair to be paying 1000s of pounds on insurance and hardly using the car. With by miles I only pay the miles I drive and I’ve saved so much money. The app is really great and so easy to speak to someone in customer service and keep eye on miles used. Definitely best insurance by far and will carry on using them for many years ahead.
