By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Really useful and helpful

I’ve been using ByMiles for a few years now and they’re honestly so easy to deal with. From the comms with staff when I need to check things to the renewal and purchase process, it’s really easy. There’s also the added bonus of the tracker allowing you to keep tabs on your car when you’re away on holiday etc. Reviewed on: 18th August 2022

Amazing Insurer, very happy with my policy

I was a little bit cautious when I found the best price from a new insurer who’s name I didn’t recognise. They initiated several forms of contact with me to check up on me and ensure everything is okay. The tracking device arrived before the start of my policy which was great. I accidentally overstated my NCD by 1 year where most insurers would have cancelled my policy, they were very understanding and allowed me to reduce it by 1 year which resulted in a £16 refund due to my policy getting cheaper for having 1yr less NCD, bizarre but I’m not complaining! They do actually have a help desk with real people unlike many others. They offered the cheapest price and to top it off they offered me back cash for any miles that I do not use at the end of the policy. Reviewed on: 18th August 2022
