By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Good for people on a budget

I was skeptical at first, as it felt like another black box type of insurance but actually its alot better than that, they provide not just a cheaper alternative but they go above and provide services like vehicle location, car health checks, and for every journey done showing you the route you took even, really like that, wish this was available when I was starting out when I first got my car maybe saved 100s in the process. Modern way to insure

Delighted to find ByMiles. Able to do everything online but customer service excellent if like me you occasionally need to hear a friendly human to explain things! Cost effective way to pay, as it says in the name, pay by the miles you drive. I find knowing how far each trip is makes me think twice about unnecessary mileage, so good for the environment too! Finally a a true value orientated insurance company

I came across ByMiles on a website and didn’t quite know what to make of them. Nothing like the companies I had used over the last 25 years. Good phone app. Chat service responsive. Fantastic idea for low mileage

Only been with bymiles for 1 year going on 2, insurance is expensive and bymiles can help cut the cost for low mileage drivers like myself. I absolutely love cars and motorcycles and knowing that i can cut some of the cost will bymiles is fantastic, if they could do something similar with motorcycles I would 100% swap insurance companys.
