By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Great Insurance for Limited Mileage Users

I am recently retired and therefore doing a lot less mileage than I used to. I don't intend to give up my car therefore paying by the miles that I do makes perfect sense. I find this service to be very accurate and reliable, and is transparent at all times via the phone app that allows me to see exactly what mileage I have done for that month with a running total. Amazing value for money

I’ve been driving for over 10 years now and I always change my insurance over to a new company ever year but this is my second year with By Miles and I couldn’t be happier with the service I’ve received and my insurance renewal. They are always on hand and very easy to get through to a customer advisors if I ever have any problems. Excellent all round! Thank you By Miles for making my insurance hassle free.
