I was insured with them and then I was in a car crash.

I was insured with them and then I was in a car crash. I reported it to them and they said they would phone me back. A couple of weeks later I phoned them back to see what was going on as the car rental company told me I had to return the car a week early. I had to chase them on every aspect of the claim. They paid out but months later I still cant get them to close the claim. They told me the salvage company has not invoiced them yet so I called the salvage company, they are waiting on an email from Zurich so they can invoice them Zurich are punishing me for making a claim. 30 years of driving and this was the only claim on one of my policies so now I have to be punished. I would never suggest someone buy a policy from Zurich car insurance. Reviewed on: 28th March 2025

WORST INSURANCE COMPANY IN IRELAND

My car got damaged in front of my house and i contacted my insurance to make a claim . After 3 weeks of going back and forth with them , mind you i was the one contacting them nobody gave me a call . I have been told my car was at a garage to be repaired and some parts will not be available till April , i was told point blank that there will not be any provision made to me while i wait for my car to be repaired . Jessica who works in the department basically told me i am to be stranded until my car is fixed. I find that very unacceptable and they are the most non-challant , obnoxious, lack of empathy, uncommunicative insurance provider, avoid them at all cost as they just take your money but will not provide any reasonable solutions if you need it . Accessible and reliable

Too expensive

The service and help desk are quite good. However the renewal quote was at least Reviewed on: 7th August 2018

Not competitive

The quote was over £600 more expensive than the offers from a range of other companies. When you look at the policy fine print the cheaper quotes also offered comparable cover and in some cases much improved cover. Reviewed on: 4th July 2017

secure friendly and great value.

Zurich car insurance is great for anyone out there wanting great value cover and an exceptional service. They have saved me no end of times. Highly recommend. Reviewed on: 11th November 2015
