Demountable Camper?

Demountable Camper? Most insurance companies don't know what a demounable camper is, so insurance is impossible, the Caravan Club insurance knew exactly what I was looking for, and sorted insurance within minutes. Reviewed on: 17th October 2025

Do your own research before renewing

While waiting for my CAMC Motorhome insurance renewal to arrive I decided to complete an online quotation with them so when my renewal price arrived a few days later, you can imagine how surprised I was to find it £50 more expensive for the same cover I’d established from my own quotation. When I explained this to their associate he said he would try to improve the renewal price. I advised him that I had found comparable cover through an online search which was £100 cheaper than CAMC’s renewal price & therefore that was ‘the price to beat’. A few days later the revised price, while lower, was still nearly £20 higher than my own CAMC quotation. Suffice to say I have not renewed & would recommend that CAMC customers do some research before renewing as they obviously offer better price options if you are NOT an existing customer.
