Free trial and still took payment. I signed up for a free trial and cancelled the day before and the still took the first payment. Make sure you cancel way before the free trial ends. Reviewed on: 13th June 2024

Rules and regulations easily missed

I was impressed by the service offered, but having used this service last over6 years ago I was not aware that I would be charged a "reactivated" service charge of the £14.99 amount, it was not made clear that this would occur .Naughty!! Reviewed on: 21st May 2024

We only offer a free trial to new customers – you can’t have repeated free trials of our service. At the point of reactivation, our site states ‘To restart your service your card will be charged £14.99 today and every month thereafter until you cancel’. The Checkmyfile subscription reflects the cost of obtaining your data from the credit reference agencies, as well as the value of our expert analysis and the support we provide. A comprehensive credit report.

A comprehensive credit report, shows you stuff that that is not available on a basic search. It is worth a look before applying for financial products. Reviewed on: 20th May 2024

it was quick and easy

used to obtain mortgage

I was advised by my mortgage broker to use this service in order to better my chances of obtaining a mortgage. It was free to use for 1 month, then £14.99 after. Provided great results and happy with the service, would recommend Reviewed on: 20th May 2024

The Only Comprehensive Credit Check to Consider

Check My File provided a comprehensive breakdown of all my credit factors at a time that I was applying for a mortgage. Knowing what all the credit agencies are reporting gave me a great deal of confidence and I've been able to monitor those reports right up until the point that I bought my house. There's a dispute resolution service that I didn't need to use but I would have found that useful, as I have no idea how to dispute an incorrect entry. Of course, I would have liked to the service to be cheaper but you get what you pay for and Check My File provides quality reports for the money. Reviewed on: 17th May 2024
