I’ve had a positive experience using Clearpay for buy now, pay later purchases. It’s been a simple and convenient way to spread the cost of bigger purchases without paying everything upfront. The app is easy to use, repayment dates are clear, and I like being able to keep track of upcoming payments in one place. Clearpay lets eligible UK customers split purchases into 4 interest-free instalments over 6 weeks when payments are made on time. Read more Read less

I was a bit hesitant to try Clearpay since I have always been with Pay pal . However, having recently tried them, I must say I am extremely impressed with the company as far as the ease and convenience of the payment is concerned. Everything seems to be well organised and secure. In addition, the customer service is second to none and it doesn't feel like there is some sort of agenda of a nefarious nature to be considered before a decision is made. Read more Read less

I have been using Clearpay for 2 years now and have found it a useful way to budget my finances . However please note the payback period is 4 WEEKS and NOT 6 WEEKS as it’s claimed on this site . The only problem I ran into was my pay day being changed as my employment changed, this having to move my payments (x3) to a new day , just 2 days. I was locked out of my account until all my purchases were paid off which I thought was extremely punitive for 2 days ? I’ve no doubt this has happened to many others as life and work life isn’t always static. However admin staff were helpful in explaining why they do this and it is to protect both the app and the customer from getting into unmanageable debt , the also slowly increase your spending power which again is a safeguard what ever way you look at it ? It would be great if there was a 6 week option but that’s not available in the U.K. and I’ve found using Clearpay for EBay absolutely impossible, with EBay UK stating” we do not accept Clearpay” Likewise purchasing from Amazon can also be very tricky at times. There are many stores advertised as accepting Clearpay but at checkout do not accept Clearpay only Afterpay , which i understand is Clearpays big sister and used in USA & Australia. It would be fantastic to have an actual card option for those emergency situations where there’s an unexpected purchase hits you right in the middle of the month ? E.G a new tyre or that trip to the vet ? Overall in these times I have found it a very useful budgeting tool , the App helps you keep a good track on your spending . The Rewards I have to admit are a bit naff , not really rewards but an introduction into purchasing something you don’t need or want but some good deals on Apple products. Getting a discount voucher for more everyday purchases would be more beneficial. Clearpay has become an integral part of my budgeting now but as mentioned above still would like it even better if there was a 6 week payment option and if stores that accept Afterpay could accept Clearpay is the same company? You can buy an expensive watch and if their supplier sends you a toothbrush (obviously an item you didn’t order) they will expect you to pay for the watch even though they know it’s not the item ordered otherwise they will send in collection agencies. Is this even legal? Read more Read less

They will keep your account up and won't let you delete it but won't ever let you use it again, even after repaying after a rough patch. Why can I not delete my account if I will never be allowed to use it? I don't want you having my details anymore!!! In my case I left my abusive ex and had to start from scratch with my kids so money has been extra tight and did not pay straight away. I paid it off a while ago and they had it blocked for ages with NO EXPLANATION. Nevermind there are plenty of better companies. Enjoy your bad review and goodbye!!! Read more Read less
