Fraudulent practices!

It seems Clearpay manipulates reviews! Reporting them to Trading Standards and The Financial Ombudsman! Tried to open an account and was told I had an... It seems Clearpay manipulates reviews! Reporting them to Trading Standards and The Financial Ombudsman! Tried to open an account and was told I had an account 5 years ago and an outstanding balance of 49£, 22! Emails with them, hours of messaging back and forth and trying to sort this and repay the debt I didn’t know I had with them, being made to believe I can then use their services again. But low and behold, once I paid this, I got a message saying they will NEVER offer me their services again! Imagine the cheek! Their fraudulent tactics to get me to pay will absolutely be reported! Reporting them to Trading Standards and The Financial Ombudsman! Tried to open an account and was told I had an account 5 years ago and an outstanding balance of 49£, 22!     Absolutely rubbish company. Admittedly I was late paying my balance but cleared it in full under the assumption my services would be restored (in black... Absolutely rubbish company. They will take the money and then close your account for ever! Customer service didn't want to know despite me threatening them with watchdog due to false / misleading information.     It was very easy to set up an account with ClearPay.

    It was very easy to set up an account with ClearPay. They gave me an initial credit limit but as I am a new account,... It was very easy to set up an account with ClearPay. They gave me an initial credit limit but as I am a new account, they have only allowed me to place a small amount of orders to begin with. This is a little frustrating but also an indication of how they are at least trying to be responsible with their lending as they do not do credit checks. Overall I have had a good experience with Clearpay so far. Read more Read less

    They can't listen as they have charged me for returned goods and even put my name across as a defaulter. I have emailed them receipts but kept a deaf ear to my pleasure.I would not recommend

    I've been with Clear Pay for years, always on top of payments. This month, I requested a simple change in payment date due to a... I've been with Clear Pay for years, always on top of payments. This month, I requested a simple change in payment date due to a salary shift, and what do they do? Label it as financial hardship, freeze my entire account, even for payments that are up to date! Trying to reach them is a joke – no contact number, and when you message, it's either crickets or automated responses. I never asked for my account to be frozen, and moving a payment doesn't mean I'm broke. Absolutely ridiculous. Won't touch them again and wouldn't recommend. There are much better credit companies out there who actually value their loyal customers. Read more Read less
