Reporting them to Trading Standards and The Financial Ombudsman! Tried to open an account and was told I had an account 5 years ago and an outstanding balance of 49£, 22! Emails with them, hours of messaging back and forth and trying to sort this and repay the debt I didn’t know I had with them, being made to believe I can then use their services again. But low and behold, once I paid this, I got a message saying they will NEVER offer me their services again! Imagine the cheek! Their fraudulent tactics to get me to pay will absolutely be reported! It was very easy to set up an account with ClearPay. They gave me an initial credit limit but as I am a new account,... It was very easy to set up an account with ClearPay. They gave me an initial credit limit but as I am a new account, they have only allowed me to place a small amount of orders to begin with. This is a little frustrating but also an indication of how they are at least trying to be responsible with their lending as they do not do credit checks.
