Online Business Banking

I am amazed given how good The Co-op bank has been in the past how bad the new 2020 online banking system is. They could never have sat down with a customer to see how difficult it is to use. Absolutely astonished as to how bad and regressive it is. The transaction search does not even have a balance column. Reviewed on: 13th August 2020

This is the worst online banking service in the sector

I've used business banking systems from HSBC, Lloyds, RBS and others. the new (2020) Co-operative business banking is the worst by far. There is not a single redeeming feature and, frankly, it is shocking that the bank and its CEO Andrew Bester does not realise how poor their offering is. Reviewed on: 4th August 2020

A Business Banking Website not fit for purpose

I would love to know which Co Op executive signed off on the new business website. This person is a lazy idiot who has never had this site tested by customers. At least the old site worked you have now created a Frankenstein site so far behind your competitors its untrue. We're leaving. Reviewed on: 21st July 2020

Dreadful!

Switched business account a few months ago. It took months to open the account as they lost the application once and the on the second attempt they took so long to process the information it timed out and I had to start from scratch. The business online banking is dreadful, slow, clunky and many of the reports cannot be trusted (they are aware of this, but do nothing). There is no mobile banking app. There are few branches and they generally take an hour to pick the phone up. Reviewed on: 25th June 2020

Transfer okay

Professional and friendly

I have banked with the Co-op since 2001 and even though I am frequently offered cash incentives by other banks to transfer I would not do so. When I need to call them, the staff are always helpful and friendly with a great knowledge of their products. Reviewed on: 9th February 2019

Awful customer service and more expensive than other banks.

We have got another bank after some bad experiences - firstly we never had an introductory rate, we got charged for pretty much everything (more than other banks charge) and when I tried to get a new PIN number I had about 100 questions as I couldn't remember my log in and ended up in tears as the lady was so patronising to me. We also had a bad experience with coop insurance a few years ago. I like the shop but not any other of their products! Reviewed on: 6th May 2017
