Spent 40 min on hold to get transferred to the claims department and had the call immediately dropped (no hold). Twice. 2 hours gone.
Used the live chat messaging service, provided ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION in the opening message. Waited 40 minutes for a response. Asked to provide the exact information already given because it wasn't read at all.
Rep disappeared another 40 min. I sent another message asking if she was even there to be told the live chat service had ended 30 minutes prior. I wasted FOUR HOURS of my day trying to have ONE conversation.
EDITED TO ADD: This is NOT in my policy documentation anywhere (I've even done ctrl+f searches to make sure, and read it seven times) but on the customer zone it states
"Please note no cover is provided for any destination where, prior to your trip commencing, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office have advised against all (but essential) travel."
This is a DELIBERATE SCAM. If there were no advisories prior to travel you WOULD BE TRAVELLING wouldn't you. You wouldn't be making a claim because you'd be travelling.
The only reason (in this case, wrt coronavirus) you would be claiming is that advisories were issues BEFORE YOUR TRIP.
Absolute laughing stock of a company. Cancelled for a refund.
