Give me a break!! At least two of the items stolen were Christmas presents and the rest was clothes!! I was told to send photo evidence of anything I didn't have a receipt for but that was just lulling me into a false sense of security. Have been with coverforyou for many years, always go with annual multi-trip gold insurance with most add ons. This is the first time I’ve ever claimed, and they rejected it. Apparently when your travels are disrupted due to a natural disaster (cyclone and flooding of the airport I was meant to fly into), that’s not covered. It wasn’t even a big claim since I managed to get help from friends luckily, but very disappointing to see when something unexpected like this happens, you’re on your own. It offends me that a company leaves out basic cover in it's most expensive policy and then refuses to pay out. It feels like a scam, and is really disappointing. I sent an email saying I'm going to ombudsman if there is no response with a plan for my replacement laptop within 2 weeks and guess what, did not get a reply! Please avoid, all good reviews are mainly from people who have never had to make a claim. I will be taking legal action if there is no response very soon this has affected me a lot I am doing an online masters and really needed my laptop in these last month's as I'm writing up my dissertation and it has affected my overall course. No transparency, no people willing to help or come to a resolution for claims. Changing your waiting times online to 55 days is not an acceptable response this is not in the travel insurance cover terms and conditions if I had known it would be this long and this much hassle then I would not have took it out from your company.
