In the process of making a claim

We lost my tiara during our photographs when it fell in the river and am in the process of making a claim, very sympathetic staff easy paperwork, just waiting to hear what happens next. Reviewed on: 31st August 2016

Very straightforward process

I called Dreamsaver to find out a little more information after coming across them online. The man I spoke to answered my questions efficiently (although a little too succinct at times) and the online process was very quick and easy. Reviewed on: 31st August 2016

Not too much extra marketing.

5
I had looked around at all types of insurances including J.L, M&S and Debs.None of them could the cover and do what I wanted but dreamsavers could. It was cheaper and although I did not need the cover in the end ,I was not bombarded with E-mails or other forms of marketing which I liked. I think this is the third contact point from this company so that is why I have bothered to rate them. Reviewed on: 31st August 2016

Good, but not straightforard to claim

We took out this policy following a comparison website check and were largely happy with the product. The shop my wife bought her original wedding dress from went into liquidation and so we had to claim on the policy to get our money back. As can be expected, this was quite distressing and we expected it could be sorted out quickly through the insurance. However, when my wife rang the helpline to make a claim, she was originally dismissed and told that she could not make a claim unless she had evidence from the bank that the money could not be recovered by visa debit first. Now, I can understand that this is a financially beneficial way of doing things for the insurers as they would not need to pay out most of the time. However, it added delay and uncertainty to an already distressing situation, we had to wait longer, going through another process of trying to get our money back when we expected to be able to contact the insurers who would manage the claim for us. Having said this, it is not to say that the insurer would not have helped if we could not claim through Visa debit, but the added delay was not ideal. I can only comment on our experience dealing with them. Reviewed on: 31st August 2016
