I've been with DBS for years now and they've always been helpful and easy to work with. The interest is decent and overall it's a reliable service.

It would be lovely to have longer opening hours, but I understand why this may not be possible at such an early stage of the Dudley Building Society presence. All of the staff I have encountered have been very warm and friendly as well as very efficient and knowledgeable. In previous years I had travelled to the Perton branch and found a very similar situation. In particular, the turnround / response times when opening accounts and/or depositing funds is absolutely first class. Everything gets dealt with as soon as the Dudley receives whatever we've sent and documents (e.g. updated passbooks) are returned equally promptly - always with an easy to follow covering letter.
