Customer service and website are useless

I had to call them twice to request my credit report. They don't value first contact resolution and they hand up as fast as they can without resolving the issue. The website did not work, they sent me a new link which also did not work, then they asked me for ID via email to retrieve my credit report manually and I sent them all the documents but they haven't sent me the credit report. I followed up 5 times over 2 days and still no response. Reviewed on: 18th February 2026

I had to seek the expertise of private credit techie..

I had to seek the expertise of private credit techie like rocketskycredit on X who actually got all negative items off my report because Experian support couldn't fix my identity theft issues. i’ll tell everyone that freezing your credit report across all bureaus isn’t just enough, because your information is very much out there and you are a victim of identity theft fraud scheme. This means your information could still be used for something else. This was my experience with them. Reviewed on: 11th November 2025

Clear, concise, efficient reporting

Of all the credit checking and credit report platforms, Experian has been the most constant, with clear reports, updated, notification offers. It is my go-to if I need to apply for credit or just to check my overall financial health and score. I've only had to use their customer service support once due to a system error, and that was resolved very quickly, Reviewed on: 12th June 2025

Free service to keep an eye on my credit score I've been using the free service to keep an eye on my credit score. Can't fault it for that really! Does the job and does it well. My wife has the id protection, free from Southern Water. I'm evaluating whether I need it, but leaning to no. Reviewed on: 12th June 2025

Great features available, however very expensive

For what you pay monthly, it is very expensive. It is hard to justify the cost on a strict budget. The boost feature is very handy and does make a difference, however the section offering support on how to improve your score does not actually help. If this did actually help improve your score, it would make the service better value. It does offer a lot of useful features, including locking your score. This is an excellent feature as it stops any unwanted credit accounts being opened in your name, so therefore minimises the risk of fraud. Even with these two features, it’s a lot of money per month. It would be great if it was more accessible. The people that need it will not be able to use it. I know there is a free service through Experian, however it is very limited. The service needs to be more proactive in recommending ways to improve your score. I will cancelled my paid subscription due to the cost due to limited budget, yet another monthly payment was taken out of my account. I shall be contacting them today and if I receive excellent customer service, I shall update this review. Reviewed on: 15th October 2024
