Long winded process, to insure over phone

I took out a new "Classic" motorcycle policy, whilst on holiday, in Spain. I only had a mobile phone, and ran out of credit twice, while waiting to be connected to an advisor. I was told "call back" outside the U.K. was not permitted. Eventually, I did get connected , but, the questions went on and on- Once more I ran out of credit, but, this time, the transaction was almost complete, and I did get a call back. What annoyed me slightly was, all my details were "On file", as I had been previously insured up to September 2017, when I put my motorcycle on SORN. Will I continue to insure with Footman James? Very likely, but, will renew "on line". As an elderly rider, I had not considered the problem of obtaining insurance, once past 80 years of age. I found many companies would not provide cover, or demanded a ridiculous excess. Reviewed on: 10th August 2018

Sure footed and competitive

Found them advertising in my MX5 club magazine. This shows that they are prepared to cover run of the mill vehicles as well as the exotic. Their price was based on an agreed valuation at less than half the premium of a market leader advertising multi car discounts. Easy to deal with online. Simply a no hassle transaction. Super service for my super 7

Great service, great price. I've insured my Caterhams with them for the last few years. Never have any issues and the renewals are always on the money not over inflated where I have to call and haggle it back down to where it was the previous year as I have to do with my other more sensible cars.
