Absolutely disgusted with this insurer. I had a lengthy telephone conversation raising many concerns which the staff member seemed to initially understand. They asked me... Absolutely disgusted with this insurer. I had a lengthy telephone conversation raising many concerns which the staff member seemed to initially understand. They asked me to put them in writing and email them over for them to deal with. I did so, but the staff member then dismissed everything I said, refused to answer it and instead took it upon themselves to foward my entire email thread of conversation including private and confidential information on a sensitive topic and conversations with other staff members to a third party without my consent or knowledge. It also included a complaint which was passed on directly word for word to whom the complaint was about. When i called the staff member out on this they ultimately stopped bothering to respond after pretending they were doing it for my benefit, which was grossly untrue and it created significant problems for me. It also had a devastating affect on my mental health. I emailed a different staff member raising this issue and saying I cannot trust the previous staff member anymore I also specifically stated that they are not to pass this on to anyone else and i want the correspondence kept between us. This next staff member disregarded everything I’d said and also immediately copied that email thread to another team member without my consent. Clearly there are serious issues with data proctection and a lack of understanding from staff about what is and is not appropriate, much of which should be common sense, and instead of actually addressing my concerns they passed the buck onto others including third parties outside of their company. My formal complaint has not been responded to so I will be taking it to the ombudsman and also raising the serious data protection failings and breach of GDPR with the ICO. As a customer we expect that the process will be easy and straight forward but it’s not so be careful when you try to signup with Gallagher. Ask more questions as they not only give you the insurance they also make a loan under your name. We used insurance for 6 months and they charge us for 7 months. We asked the question as the insurance cost more then $350/months. Then broker advised that we have a loan with them was quite shocked to hear that and we have to pay for this last payment. Had a chat with the manager to escalate and get more understanding in this and manager was the same that we did a loan and have to pay the extra month.
