Easiest way to invest in a shares ISA

Excellent

This is excellent. It is low cost and you can choose the percentage of your portfolio for each ETF you want to invest in. And there is a good choice of ETFs to invest in. It has the disadvantage that you cannot buy shares and OEICs. However, having read a lot of investing books, I have come to the conclusion index investing is the best way to invest. Other share dealing accounts offer shares and OEICs, but have fees. The fees are often lower if you are invested exclusively in shares, than if you invest in a mixture of funds and shares. For these reasons, I tend to prefer ETFs. I like Invest Engine because it makes it so easy to build a portfolio in the proportions I want, without the hassle and dealing fees every time I try to rebalance. Reviewed on: 11th April 2023
