Review of the Just Travel Cover, Travel insurance:

Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

First class service

I am using Just Travel for the first time this year and I was so impressed with the cost of the policy and great customer service I received from them. They were very helpful and understanding when discussing my medical conditions. I am already thinking about our holiday next year and having Just Travel at the top of my list for obtains a quote. Everything we need (and more)

My wife had a stroke on our 2nd day in Tenerife. What could have been a total”disaster was alleviated by caring and compassionate assistance from this wonderful company.. 12 days of hospital treatment, including an expensive MRI scan paid for without quibble. Additional hotel bills paid and they even flew a doctor from Madrid who accompanied us back to our home in Southport. Great Company very helpful staff

I have just renewed my joint husband and wife yearly travel insurance with Travel Extras. The staff were extremely helpful the quote they gave me was very competitive, as well a a couple of European short trips, my husband and I will be going on a cruise and they were the best company for cruise cover.
