Took out insurance with Ladybird as read decent reviews on Trustpilot. They wanted every type of documentation including a V5 document which I have never been asked for in 30 years of insuring vehicles. The lease company never this so had to apply to DVLA to get a copy. This arrived today after two months and sent it across straight away. Ladybird have erroneously stated that I purchased the car December 2022 when in fact I have leased the car since December 2021 and have requested an additional £175 payment. Their reasoning is that the time the vehicle is owned impacts the premium. 1, I don’t own the car, I lease it. They know this. 2, The date I leased it is December 2021. They know this, I told them. 3, The date they have is wrong. 4, The length of time you own or lease a car has no bearing on your premiums. The age and value of your vehicle does. I just hope I don't have an accident while I'm insured with them this year!

I bought my car insurance through Topcashback, in July, but did not get any documents. These were supposed to be available through their on line portal - it was never open. I rang the number on the portal, but it took me all around the world and back again to the begining. I eventually spoke to someone who arranged to email my documents and post them to. Different insurer next year. According to Companies House, they stopped trading last month. Read more Read less

    Just another insurer

Customer service agents didn’t go out of their way for me I don’t think. With politeness, customer service, etc.

    DO NOT RECOMMEND

Very complicated company structure, very poor customer service. 4 different companies involved not talking to each other. Everything you have to call yourself to different companies and babysit. Do not recommend.

    Run away From Ladybird insurance

Ladybird cancelled my insurance because… Ladybird cancelled my insurance because of a change of address and then took out money from my account the following month. When I called them, they said I was owing them £212.61 and sent me an email to that effect, of which they had never sent me before me calling them. They also blackmailed me saying if I do not pay, they would not issue me with my NCB. I think Ladybird, Close Brothers and Right Choice are all in this con game. It made no sense to cancel my insurance as I have never had a claim and still charge me for them canceling my insurance. Also I was told over the phone, that I was paying in arrears. Who pays for services nowadays in arrears, especially insurance. Has anyone heard anything so ridiculous??? PUBLIC, KEEP AWAY FROM THEM PLEASE. They are bad news. Read more Read less

Charged me £245 for 15 days worth of cover despite contacting them within the cooling-off period. Spoke to two ladies via telephone, found both to be extremely rude and unhelpful - also provided contradictory information. Very unprofessional company who are very hard to get a hold of - be prepared to wait for a very long time if you wish to speak to them by phone, email communication also very poor as they pick and choose when they feel like responding. Will be taking my personal matter further but would seriously advise anyone considering using this company to go alsewhere. Read more Read less

I advise you to have nothing to do with it. after signing the contract, without your knowledge he will go to a financial company, where he will collect the money, so you, in addition to the insurance, will pay the interest to the financial company. when I found out, I immediately asked to terminate the insurance policy, even before it started. but they didn't give me back my 190 pounds, which I had paid to do the same policy, besides the fact that you can't talk to them on the phone. so if problems arise, that's your business. they are real legal scams!!! legal because they walk by the law. do not buy from brokers also freedom ,RIA, they are brokers and like ladybird they will steal your money, also after making the contract they will ask you for many documents, with the threat of canceling the insurance policy if you do not provide them. so you will spend days trying to get the documents they want, including old insurance contracts, to prove that you have not had an accident etc. I had a bad experience made of stress with brokers. one more thing when i paid on my bank application it showed that i paid RIA but my policy was with ladybird and RIA is another insurance broker i had noticed in online search engines while i was looking for insurance for the my car . which means they are the same thing with different names!!ladybird is a broker, not an insurance company!
