Proof of ID needed (again !), good experience otherwise

Had to return home to find documents proving my identity when opening a Regular Savings account, despite having been a previous customer and having my driving license to hand. But plain sailing after that, and the account still has a good interest rate 18 months later. Unlike other regular savers, this one is not limited to 12 months. Reviewed on: 13th January 2025

We use Leek Building Society for all our savings. After consulting with the staff at their Hanley Branch we were confident in our ISA planing. Savings team saves the day!

My two savings products were due to mature around the same time that I was out of the country. Bruce from the savings team sorted everything out for me via email and through my leek online account.
