A Regular Savings Account is opened automatically when you join Manchester Credit Union. Savings must be made on a regular basis, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly and withdrawals can be made via the App or Members Area.

Great for saving

I have found save with the Credit Union excellent and very helpful especially when I was by my house the only letdown is I have been with them for years so when they initially started the loans it wasn’t so much a business and it was very much about helping people, unfortunately now the rates are just as extortionate as anywhere else. I remember that they barely charged over 5% when I initially started at the Credit Union. I would love to see something like that comeback, especially now with all the struggle that people experiencing it would show that the Credit Union really is for the people Reviewed on: 10th April 2026

A great credit union - second to none!

I have been with MCU for 20 years and they have always been so good at helping me put away rainy day and Christmas money. The tech has changed over that time and I findctheir banking app to be easy to use and handy. I think they are great! Reviewed on: 10th April 2026
