A Regular Savings Account is opened automatically when you join Manchester Credit Union. Savings must be made on a regular basis, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly and withdrawals can be made via the App or Members Area.

I've been using credit union for over a decade now

I have been using credit union for over a decade now. Its great for savings and loans. Its very straight forward,you will have to provide certain information such as I.d, bank statements, account information ect.. and be able to show you can effectively pay the loan back. The interest rates are extremely low you can pay your loan back faster its up to you. They also have savings accounts to try to help you save too. The staff are friendly and helpful. MCU is great for people who dont want a normal bank...

MCU is great for people who don't want a normal bank account. I find the Christmas club especially helpful. Also on the plus side for me is that there is no debit card so it is easier to save than to withdraw cash. Reviewed on: 17th June 2025
