Marcus consistently delivers

Marcus provides a simple to operate easy access savings product which provides a consistently competitive interest rate. No limitations to deposits or withdrawals makes it very flexible. You can select an annual interest rate boost though for me it would be much better if the account paid the full rate by default without having to opt in to add the extra interest rate on. Whilst there might always be other savings options which have the same flexible terms but provide a slightly better interest rate with Marcus you can be confident that you are saving in an account which is still one of the best on the market. Marcus accounts are very easy to set up and easy to manage. I feel it is very secure as you can only withdraw to 1 linked account and they send you a yext text if money is withdrawn. They give a bonus rate on their ISA too which is great. I’ve recommended Marcus to friends and family who have also opened accounts. Reviewed on: 24th March 2026

Wanted a savings account for my 'slush fund' savings.

Wanted a savings account four my 'slush fund' savings. Somewhere to keep my 'spare' money offering a reasonable return (minimal losses against inflation) and unlimited instant access. Marcus offered a decent interest rate and an easy interface. Money moves between their account and my current account really quickly and securely. Have never had any issues, nor any need to interact with customer support. It just 'works' in the ways we need it to. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026
