Renewed CD without authorization

Long time customer. Had substantial CD that was rolling over to maturity right before I left on an extended vacation. I logged into the portal and made a request to close the account at maturity. That never actually happened and in my travels I received a notice that they had renewed my CD. I immediately called and Marcus would not take any responsibility for the glitch and would not reverse a substantial penalty for early withdrawal. They have lost a customer and I would not do business with this company ever again. Reviewed on: 12th June 2026

Consistently Excellent

Marcus offer a straight forward savings account which with the addition of their bonus rate consistently offers a very competitive level of interest. Not the highest in the market but consistently very competitive and you can rest assured with Marcus that your savings are working well for you without needing to chase the very best rates (unless you want to) as the interest rates are very stable. The account is very easy to operate online and has no restrictions in the frequency of withdrawals you can make. Reviewed on: 12th June 2026

Good rate on savings an.d ISA

Continually receive a fairly good rate on savings and cash ISA. They let you know when the rate changes and still keep the bonus rate the same. Everything easy to do online. Reviewed on: 11th June 2026

Marcus consistently delivers

Marcus provides a simple to operate easy access savings product which provides a consistently competitive interest rate. No limitations to deposits or withdrawals makes it very flexible. You can select an annual interest rate boost though for me it would be much better if the account paid the full rate by default without having to opt in to add the extra interest rate on. Whilst there might always be other savings options which have the same flexible terms but provide a slightly better interest rate with Marcus you can be confident that you are saving in an account which is still one of the best on the market. Marcus accounts are very easy to set up and easy to manage. I feel it is very secure as you can only withdraw to 1 linked account and they send you a yext text if money is withdrawn. They give a bonus rate on their ISA too which is great. I’ve recommended Marcus to friends and family who have also opened accounts. Reviewed on: 24th March 2026
