Great customer service Laura kept us informed and worked hard to get our case progressing despite many external challenges. The process was clear the only challenges were beyond the Meltons control except for a challenge with valuation. Reviewed on: 10th March 2026

Outstanding service. Our case wasn't straightforward and Laura was thorough and extremely helpful throughout the process. In a world where good customer service is becoming increasingly rare, it has been a please and a relief to deal with an organisation that genuinely cares about the customer experience. Uncaring and unhelpful Building Society

I have my Mortgage with Melton Building Society. Recently my Wife has been diagnosed with early Dementia, she has lost her job and now left the family home and stopped contributing to Mortgage. I have informed Melton of everything along the way and have recently had to reach out to them for help. They acknowledged my situation and said they would get back to me with a resolution quickly as they knew how worried I was about it. A week and a half later they said they couldn’t help and referred me to a Government backed scheme. I tried to contact them 6 times last week and got cut off every time. I left messages and nobody returned them. I feel scared, isolated and depressed. Lots of reviews criticising customer services and unanswered call’s. I will try as hard as I can to maintain mortgage on my own as long as I can, then who knows Reviewed on: 26th November 2025

Service was 5* start to finish.

Laura exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to help us search for a mortgage. We originally hired a mortgage broker from a well known Wealth Management company, we weren't satisfied with mortgage rates and what they had offered so decided to pull the offer and go to Laura at Melton Building Society. She understood our urgency as the buyers had accpeted our offer and we were ready to instruct solicitors. She found exactly what we needed not only was it a quick turn around, her communication and updates really helped put us at ease (she even did this in her free time & during her annual leave) it felt like such a stressful time before going to Laura, as with previous delays we were in fear of loosing the home we were so desperate for.
