Recently my Wife has been diagnosed with early Dementia, she has lost her job and now left the family home and stopped contributing to Mortgage. I have informed Melton of everything along the way and have recently had to reach out to them for help. They acknowledged my situation and said they would get back to me with a resolution quickly as they knew how worried I was about it. A week and a half later they said they couldn’t help and referred me to a Government backed scheme. I tried to contact them 6 times last week and got cut off every time. I left messages and nobody returned them. I feel scared, isolated and depressed. Lots of reviews criticising customer services and unanswered call’s. We had used a highly regarded wealth management company to search for a Buy to let mortgage to release equity against the property to fund a gifted deposit fir my daughter. She in turn requied a first time buyer mortgage with her partner. We were dissatisfied with the wealth management companies proposals from aspects of interest rates and loan values thzt didn't meet the value of a property my daughter hzd agreed to purchase.I appraached Laura Burrows with our challenges. In two stages Laura found exactly what we were looking for, an increased sum for both ourselves and my daughter and partner at a muchimproved % rate such that we met all criteria and were able to appoint solicitors to proceed with the purchase. We were in danger of losing the property due to delays with the previous wealth management company.. Very frustrating trying to deal with them: sent a secure message because that’s the channel I prefer because I’m busy during the day at work,... Left a voicemail which then meant I need to ring them and sit in a queue, when they could have just responded to my message so I could read at my convenience.
