Firstly I am very grateful for MW in gaining the approval for a DRO. Almost everyone was helpful and kind in their comments and overall communication. The website is clear and the process straightforwards as long as you have the information and documents requested, there are more steps to the process than expected. MW met their self imposed deadlines for responding. There is a phone call requirement to build your application, it can be lengthy due to the amount of information you need to provide, you are asked specific and in depth questions relating to the reasons for being in debt (job loss etc) unfortunately the person I spoke to was rude and aggressive in their communication and I had to ask why they were being that way after which they revised the way they were speaking although remained curt, I appreciate they were not having the best day (or something like that as she told me) and my call was later in the evening but I was made to feel that I was an inconvenience and that was disappointing and disrespectful. I won’t name them but sincerely hope she is more professional during these phone calls with others, these conversations are difficult and there are many reasons people end up in debt solutions, feeling judged when you’re addressing the issue and requesting help is unfair and unkind. Overall MW were brilliant and have helped me obtain a successful DRO. I would recommend going via Step change and they will refer you directly and the gov breathing space application which places a hold on your creditors while you are completing your debt solution application is such a welcome relief. Other than the one issue experienced and while I would prefer not to be in this position I feel hopeful that there is now an end in sight. Reviewed on: 29th June 2025

Having suffered with severe mental health & painful incurable disabilities all my life. The customer service team at Money Wellness were very supportive & understanding regarding my financial issues.
