Scammers

1
They take advantage of vulnerable people and put APR of icer 35 percent. They do not perform affordability checks or even repossess their vehicles. Customer service is shocking. Reviewed on: 18th July 2023

Moneybarn were a breeze to deal with. Upfront with everything. Very helpful on the one occasion I had to call them ( my fault not theirs). Their web portal made keeping an eye on everything so easy. Reviewed on: 7th June 2023

1
Absolute shambles of a company they prey on people in bad circumstances that have poor credit due to many reasons, but what they know is the majority of these people are desperate for a car to get to work so they know people have no choice but to accept their ridiculous rates and are technically putting you in a worse position, making you pay double for whatever you get, but please if your desperate just think again, use public transport or buy a cheap car till you build your credit, it would still be cheaper to fix a old motor and have no debt over your head that be paying nearly 20k for a 10k motor ect and once your in these ridiculous finance deals it’s hard to get out because you can never sell the car to pay off the debt you still owe double just think twice because these directors need jailing, Reviewed on: 6th March 2023

1
2nd time going through moneybarn and it has been an absolute nightmare , unprofessional staff who try pass the blame onto their coworkers, they are more than happy to take your money but when it comes to them paying money out be prepared to sit on the phone for over an hour on hold , never again will I use this company I’m currently reporting them to the ombudsman for theft as they owe me money and are refusing to pay out Reviewed on: 4th January 2023

returned a vehicle to them due to financial circumstances changing suddenly, stated the vehicle was an uneconomical repair (after already spending nearly £2000 repairing it within 3 weeks of getting the vehicle in the first place)

1
They auctioned off the vehicle at 80% below market value due to the car being in a supposed bad shape, with what they stated as engine problems, clutch problems, the whole 9 yards, except before handing the vehicle back we had changed all the breaks on the car (in which they said they were nearly worn out, surprising huh) the entire clutch + flywheel was changed at our expense, tried returning the vehicle at that point but were pressuring us into keeping the vehicle, the real kicker is, they sold a £10,000 car for £2000 in auction, it went through an MOT a week later, passed with no advisories at all, literally flying colours, so now, we're down all the repair costs on the vehicle, and having to pay back a few thousand, can't say anything other than steer clear of this company, they will take you for everything, nothing but con artists.
