Helping younger generations navigate money management

We have found Rooster Money to be a really helpful tool for teaching our 11 year old about money management. It can be a useful tool for encouraging them to help out & seeing the reward in monetary terms preparing them for the future. Reviewed on: 4th March 2026

Great for independence

Such a great product. Allows my son to take responsibility and control for his pocket money, whilst still having control as a parent. They are able to use their card in shops and online, and manage pots of money which encourages saving too. My son likes to donate to charity. It's also a great way to motivate them, setting tasks for them to earn their pocket money. Others can be added to their profile, to send pocket money, which is a really handy tool. Overall, I really like Rooster. Money and highly recommend to anyone with children wanting to learn the independence of money. Reviewed on: 4th March 2026

Rooster card is a little clunky in that you can’t transfer into it without the money going into my NatWest account first so family can’t directly put money into child’s account. Reviewed on: 4th March 2026

Perfect introduction to money

Shopped around for a card for my teenage boys but this one felt a good choice. It has worked well for us so far, helped them to save a little in various sub pots of their choice and me to have an overview while they get used to it.
