Everyone a Winner

My 11 year old granddaughter is quite shy. She was thrilled to receive the card and a regular top up as part of her last birthday present from me. She uses the money carefully..£15 per month and it has boosted her confidence and feelings of control. She was able to surprise her Mum and I with cards on Mother’s Day and sometimes buys sweets on the walk home from school (part of practice for secondary school travelling alone!) I thought I’d try the card for a year before the charge kicked in but now it’s been dropped I’ll definitely continue it till she’s old enough to get an adult account, by which time her little sister will be 11! I’ve said I’ll increase sum by £5 every birthday which seems a lot to her now! We’ll see. Anyway, thanks for this, it benefits her, benefits you and gives me pleasure! Reviewed on: 6th April 2023

Safe, secure, and Stable Banking For Kids

A Natwest advisor in branch recommended the rooster account for my child when i went into branch to open an account for them. The advisor explained everything to me, took me through the application process in branch and within days it was all set up and my child’s card arrived. I sat with my child and explained everything and set up their chores and they were over the moon. It made earning their allowance easy and also how much they earned was entirely up to them, putting them in total control. We know kids like to feel grown up. I love that the app notifies me of anything my child does with their account, so even though the child is in control the parent actually secretly has control. Its a brilliant account and app and its changed my child’s outlook on chores and responsibilities. They now enjoy doing them and ticking it off when done, they have a great understanding about banking and money and also money safety. Easy to keep track

It's been great to let the children have money on them without the worry of it being spent here, there and everywhere (!), and to know they have the means of getting public transport home from school if needed. Getting notifications if where they have used the card and knowing I can too it up where er they are is very reassuring. Reviewed on: 6th April 2023
