Smart Money People started with a bold mission. We wanted to make the financial industry work better for everybody.

Since launching in October 2014, we’ve grown from “one man and an idea” to a team of five, and Smart Money People is now the UK's leading review and insight platform for financial services...we've grown visitors to our site by 1800% since this time last year :-)

This means that each month, more UK consumers come to us to help find better financial products and providers and to share their reviews. But we're not done quite yet!

We’re also please to announce that we've completed an investment round with Northstar Ventures and an angel investor, meaning we can expand Smart Money People even further. 

Mike Fotis, our founder said: “Over the last two years, we’ve built a really unique data asset. We now have the UK’s richest data set of dynamic and freely given customer experiences that spans every significant financial services firm and product category. Our data means that we truly have our finger on the pulse of the financial industry. We know which products delight customers and likewise we also know what makes customers feel like they’ve been unfairly treated.”

Smart Money People is ready to open up its on-demand customer insight solution more widely, which will help turn its data into actionable and on-going insight for financial firms. Mike continues, “we’re excited to open up our data more widely to help financial firms better understand how they are performing relative to their peers, and to provide the kind of insight that can also deliver better customer outcomes.”

We’re also gearing up for the launch of the British Bank Awards 2017. The British Bank Awards is our national campaign that asks consumers to tell us about their banking providers. We want to know who rocks your boat...and who leaves you feeling out at sea. As always, we need you all to get involved, and help us to increase trust and transparency in financial services.
