In 2019 our business unfortunately had to close due primarily due to late arrival of goods, the goods being faulty upon arrival and a change in management system resulting in loss of CRM. Inevitable poor reviews lead to a halving of turnover. Many of our suppliers, faced financial loss due to the business closure- potentially very stressful for all parties. The liquidators suggested we should look for professional advise to deal with the creditors, especially those with personal guarantees. We approached Payplan, and from day one we were made aware of the potential claims that could be forthcoming and action we should take to give as much as we reasonably could to hopefully satisfy the creditors. The process selected being IVA’s I found my wife could not cope with creditors at the door. Payplan took control of the situation, stopping direct contact, whilst still keeping the creditors onboard. Payplan must do an awful lot of work behind the scenes and when the day of the creditors meeting arrived, I know they had to do a lot of negotiation. All the effort eventually resulted in successful IVA’s. Looking back, one of the main things that gave us some comfort and reassurance was a single point of contact at Payplan, from initial discussions through to the IVA meetings. Business failure is an extreme pressure on any family business, and you quickly realise how little you know of the processes. The company has literally saved me. During the Covid pandemic I found out I required back surgery and I couldn’t work. The company helped me keep my family in a home, and I was really struggling with my mental health as well because of everything above. They came and rescued me and my family. Piece of mind...and a future

I was at my wits end every month by the time all the bills were paid I was juggling Peter to pay Paul . No respite from worry and a big heavy load being carried every day dragging me down . My bank of all places recommended I speak to a debt solution company - Payplan . Well to say the last 2 months have been so much better would be an understatement. They have been reassuring ,non-judgrmental and literally on the end of the phone whenever I needed reassurance. Setting a plan up , getting with the right bank ,and creditors under control have made such a difference to my health and well-being. YES I over-extended myself but when covid hit ' there was furlough, then redundancy then a job with half the salary I was used to ,,, there is now light at the end of the tunnel ..very grateful . My husband had to change jobs and was on temporary work after being on sick with cancer treatment, so our income virtually halved, Payplan were very understanding and gave me a ‘holiday’.
