We use the calculator all the time to assist clients to make the correct choices about their benefits and also to identify those benefits they have not claimed. It is accurate, easy to use and because it can be saved electronically we can send results to our clients for them to check against when they get heir benefit entitlement and check on any missed elements in UC for example and Reviewed on: 17th June 2024

I feel that the better off calculator provides the best Insight into how many Hours a Individual can work whilst still showing what the individual is entitled too in regards to Their benefits. I really enjoy the Breakdowns and the comparisons at the end of the BOC. I also Feel it is useful as I can download and Print off the BOC upon completion. Reviewed on: 17th June 2024

Good Calculator but needs a few more tweeks

I often use the Better Off Calculator for our clients (as an adviser at Citizens Advice) and it has proved immensely useful, helping us to maximise the income of our clients and help them understand their entitlement. However, since the update I do find that it can be a little bit confusing on how to read out their entitlement to them - personally I preferred where it would just display their full entitlement and not their current benefits + what they could be receiving. While I understand the reasoning for this change, in practice it makes the calculator more difficult to read out which benefits the client should be getting overall. Reviewed on: 17th June 2024
