Superb service!

I needed to open a trust account for a Life Interest Trust. Not all financial institutions offer this product and my experience of trying to open an account elsewhere was dispiriting. However, Jon Sweeting from Bath BS made an application with them EASY! From first contact to opening the account took less than a week and Jon ensured it was a stress-free experience - he was my single point of contact throughout and couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent service from everyone especially Barry Morgan

Without exception every one of your employees are welcoming, knowledgable, caring and efficient. I have been with Bath for years and it is like a family who want to look after ones needs. I am sad to have to leave. "Make my experience better" Technical problems using site. 1)Problem with my nominated account not being recorded in my online account when you have these details as my interest from this account is automatically sent to my nominated account! When it came to closing my account I could not do so because you had no nominated account!! Subsequently there is no "Close Account" option. This causes a delay if I want to move money or close the account. I have to enter my nominated account details, although you have them, and it takes x number of days to set it up. I am told that the interest is sent through a different system/company and that when it is set up I will get an option to "close account" However, Barry Morgan managed to sort it out immediately for me. The other problem is that I could not get into my account. I like the two new security levels with OTP sent to my email and a call to my land line or mobile phone. I opted for land line and nothing happened, I tried another day, and no call was received. I am told that BT have blocked this feature and you can only use a mobile number! What happens if you are old and don't have one! You did have an mobile number which I no longer use, my fault, therefore, I could not get into my account at all, happily there is the telephone. Finally, brilliant support staff but confusing technical problems with account. I hope you will accept this as positive criticism as I love Bath Building Society. Reviewed on: 17th July 2020
