All good so far

Went through a financial advisor initially to culminate all pensions. Product seems to be doing OK. Reviewed on: 2nd September 2026

A Good Pension

5
A nice easy app allows you to see what is going on with the investments. There are no shareholders to pay so the investors get a bonus each year. Communication is a bit tricky at times especially when trying to change monthly payments but otherwise seems a sound trustworthy ompany Reviewed on: 2nd September 2026

Easy to manage Workplace Pension.

Easy to manage Workplace Pension. Set up on my behalf but has been easy to change beneficiaries and similar as well as showing decent growth - perhaps more volatile than some others but for now that means it's ahead of market Reviewed on: 20th August 2026

I trusted this company with my pension, shocking!!

I have 2 pensions with these, one set up by my company and the other that I opted out of SERPS with. I moved home a few years ago and didn’t get statements for both pensions for a few years, added to this took my eye off the ball with them. When I finally got statements, it turns out for the past 5 years in a row the pensions have made 0.25% a year every year ! I therefore complained as the returns were unbelievable, I was told that my funds had been invested in CREST. I just wonder how many other victims they have. To put this into context, I had £50k nearly invested and over 5 years they have made me £500 whilst taking over £5k in charges for their expertise in investing!! So over a 5 year period they have made 1.25% whilst the FTSE has increased by nearly 50%. This is not a company to trust with your money! I have today transferred this account, unfortunately though I have another account with £50k in, with exactly the same story, this account can’t be transferred though! How convenient!! BTW Royal London,I could have made 15% in a building society account over 5 years! Disgraceful! Reviewed on: 23rd July 2026

A workplace pension that actually gives something back

5
Happy with Royal London as my workplace pension provider. The platform is straightforward to navigate and gives you a clear view of how your pot is performing. What sets them apart is the profit share — as a mutual, they distribute a share of profits back to eligible policyholders, which is a meaningful differentiator from the big corporate providers. Feels like a scheme that's actually aligned with members rather than shareholders. Reviewed on: 25th June 2026

6 months trying to transfer a pension out of Royal London. Response is chronically slow. You are on the phone on hold for hours before anyone picks up. so many times Ive assumed I rang the wrong number as no one responds, but it was correct. So poor. Reviewed on: 18th May 2026

Utterly useless company.

Utterly useless company. I've just spent nearly 2 hours on the phone trying to get answers to what should be everyday questions before I cash in part of my pension pot. I've spoken to 4 different departments so far (each one taking about half an hour to answer the call) and they're all equally clueless. Appalling service, avoid. Reviewed on: 27th April 2026
