False advertising on APR %. Poor timescales.

I pity those using these who might be desperate for assistance. Advertised personal loans between 5 & 11.9 %. Took 10 days to give a decision and then offered me 29.9% apr. I have been with my employer for 23years and have always had a regular salary and Full time employment here. I turned it down and got a loan with Admiral at 12.9% within 10 minutes. Doesn’t make sense. Reviewed on: 29th February 2024

Useless

Accepted for a loan told will be processed in two working days, third day in being told it's going to be another three working days from today. After speaking to someone for the fifth time I'm being told its 5 working days because they can't be bothered to process so there is a back log and the information they give you on the site hasn't been updated to reflect how poor a service they're providing. You raise a complaint and they assure you they'll send a reference number only for no emails to show up. It gets even better lol, tell them if it isn't resolved by the end of the day you'd like to cancel the agreement only for that to be the only thing they can do instantly and is unable to be undone even in their error Date of experience: 21 September 23 Reviewed on: 25th September 2023

From Poor To Concerning

You will be waiting MONTHS!!! Please do not waste your time or energy. You will not receive your requested amount at all!! You will be offered under 10% of your request. I was offered £250 a measly 6.25% of my request. Regardless for my high income and low expenditure, Regardless for my immaculate credit score. So called nationwide bank and applied for a loan at my desired amount and guess what? Im payed out 6 minutes ago!! ( 13:21 on 24th March 2023. ) Initially my area manager mentioned not to use this servise as "YOU will be waiting months" and continued to insist on using alternative services. While I pushed this to the side what I thought were jokes, it turns out he was actually spot on. You will be waiting months. Application sent on 27th February 2023. Payroll Confirmed 1st March. Credit score searched 14th March 2023. Currently no correspondence still to date being 23rd of March Reached back out to Salary Finance again today only to be provided identical correspondence as historically demonstrated. I was told it usually takes 5 to 7 days. My application is exceeding 3+ weeks. LIVE CHAT was not helpful far from adequate customer service. I have screenshot the live chat for all. I was told my application takes 5 to 7 days and once completed I will receive and email so keep and eye out. I have been everyday since 27th February. The process as a whole is far from open and transparent. I found so far to be the opposite. My employment payroll details verified and confirmed on the 1st March.??? Fast forward 3 weeks........ I feel very let down by Salary Finance. I'm not sure why Tesco have linked / joined up with them considering their support is genuinely demonstrably nonexistent and currently a direct cause for concern. Tesco support their colleagues and sadly this is far from supportive but provided additional stress to thousands of people as demonstrated not only here on Trust Pilot but thousands of colleagues have left clear feedback and comments also on OurTesco website under Colleague help and comments. Where sadly most if not all have mentioned Salary Finances Inability to assist fellow colleagues, where colleagues mentioned being made to wait Weeks, most cases months before corresponding with the applicant to notify their Inability to assist........ I can confirm there is nothing speedy or quick regarding the service from my experience. Predominately I have found other reviews to be accurate when detailing " Waiting Weeks " I am very concerned regarding this service and will provide further updates to this review amongst the reviews I have placed on other review sites. I promise to provide detailed updates of the journey with the final outcome shortly. (Tesco have mentioned they are addressing any issues with Salary Finance) Just short of 1 full month and finally got correspondence requesting further documentation. After sending this in I was offered only a laughable £250 a measly 6.25% of my original request. Disgraceful How I have a clear evidence 5+ year history of paying my bills on time everytime, the irrefutable, overwhelmingly evidence sent it demonstrating a high income and small outgoing yet I'm basically being told I can't afford and are not in a position to obtain credit. Its beyond comprehension how people are being told what they can and can not afford. Not to mention at this point of being made to wait a full month, I just ended up using a small portion of my savings to make my purchase. This company is genuinely from poor to concerning. I will not only be complaining, I look to ensure these overwhelmingly concerns are addressed by the Ombudsman. A complete stressful experience to say the least which has provided detrimental affects on my mental health. Along with the initial large inconvenience being provided from The Salary Finance with delayed correspondence. I personally will provide an update shortly. I am looking to have a resolution / rectification provided. Many Thanks Kind Regards Samuel Reviewed on: 24th March 2023

Poor service from Salary finance

1
A very poor service from this company I would not recommend. Firstly it took 11 weeks from commencing payments (weekly payments) for the first payment to come out of my salary. Customer service advice was I could add the missed payments on to the end of the payment schedule or make manual payments to keep up. I opted to make the manual payments to keep everything running to schedule. At the 11th week when the payment finally came out of my wage I noticed it was a different amount upon speaking with customer services I was told my payments and loan agreement had been changed and extended by 2 weeks without informing me, so for this I raised a complaint. The complaint resolution basically said I'd missed payments despite the fact I had all bank transactions and receipt emails from salary finance for all payments. I was then informed that the payments I had made were mistakenly treated as over payments which somehow as negatively effected my agreement but not to worry as they have kindly written off the interest for the missing payment (that I had already paid). They also informed me the loan agreement has extended by another week but for what reason I'm still to receive an answer. I'm now having to go through the financial ombudsman to try get the answers because just keep going around in circles with the complaints team at salary finance. Save yourselves the headaches I've had with this company and look elsewhere for your financial needs. Reviewed on: 30th September 2022

Worst Company Ive ever dealt with

Took an employee loan back in 2018 when this was Neybar, all was well until swapped to Salary Finance in May 22, i settled my loan early, but they have overcharged me, ignored all correspondence proving this. A terrible terrible company Reviewed on: 9th September 2022

pure frustration

1
At first all went well with them. Then I used the loan service. The money came straight away, and they were supposed to take it back from my following salary, which they did. Then a direct debit was set and they took the sum again from my bank account. Then the following month they were going to take it once again. It was really hard to get answers and to sort this out and get my money back. It took a couple of weeks. Then I find out that they suspended my account. And when I go and ask via chat (only way to talk to them apart from emails that they respond to after 7 days), and the person in the chat says on their system it appears that I have been suspended due to missed direct debit repayment?? I cannot believe they made a mistake, took a long time to make it right, then punished me for what they did? Unbelievable. Reviewed on: 19th August 2022

An absolute joke of a company

1
An absolute joke of a company. I’ve been waiting four months for them to change my direct debits over to a new account. The last time I chased them on this they told me the IT team had still not changed my account details. The IT Team ?? I decided enough was enough and told them just to leave the direct debits the way they are then low and behold, my latest payment was not taken on Wednesday. I sent an email to the complaints team about this which has not even been acknowledged. Looks like it’s manual payments for the last 17 months of my loan! Reviewed on: 22nd July 2022
