Quietly excellent

From the start, Starling has been easy to deal with. Set up was simple, contacting support when needed is quick, easy, and you get to talk to a real human, which is underrated. The app itself is clean and easy to use. The only change I'd make would be to enable secondary users to the business bank account, this is the only thing that really lets Starling down because everything else is understanted excellence. At the moment it's pretty difficult to deal with accounts when only one person has access to the bank account (and this not the accounts people!) And this is the only reason I have reservations about recommending to others as this isn't going to work well for companies with more staff. However, everything else is absolutely brilliant. You shouldn't really have to think about your bank very much if it's doing its job, and I don't - except that it really is an excellent bank! Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021

Its such an excellent bank

Free and easy business banking

I find Starling's business bank account great. The main draw for me was that there are no fees. There's no interest either but I always used to pay significantly more in fees than if get in interest. Once I switched I then discovered all the other benefits that make Starling great: phone notifications when money goes in/out, spaces for saving money for specific goals without needing a separate savings account for each. I use this for my reserves, keeping track of my grant money and for customer deposits. I also love that I can control when my debit card is active or not and what I can use it for with very quick changes. For example, I'm unlikely to take can out so I've disabled ATM use but if I need to its easy to turn it on. The app let's me categorise my spending/income to help with accounting. I've played about with this as it's very easy but so far I still prefer my separate cloud accounting software for my accounts. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021

Fabulous Bank

Best bank ever!

Perfect for what we need

Perfect for what we need Simple it does what it supposed to do work for you to pay in money to pay it money and show you where you what got in the bank. On top that they are places to-put money into so it makes it easier to pay bills and save all in one account. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021

Used for years and ahead of its competitors

After three weeks of paperwork and a business account application still not approved, I dropped the application with a major high street bank and opened this Starling account in 10 minutes whilst as a passenger in a car journey. How easy was that! And since opening the account have found it all just so easy to use, including there partners with the Post office for paying in cash. I now have a personal account based off this experience and have recommended to family and friends. Now three years on and still enjoying it. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021
