Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Excellent they keep you up to date on everything

Amazing set up....

They organised my debt to do monthly payments .... I forget I have it... it’s direct debit and regular reviews to check I’m managing my payments to my budget... never hear from my creditors ...step change do it all... best thing ever.. no more worries. Reviewed on: 8th July 2020

Your life given back

When my husband suddenly was ask to take early retirement due to illness over a period of time we thought he was getting a lump sum but no only his mouth wages. We tried to manage it but life was miserable then we were told they will help. Quantitive Easers

It is easy to be overwhelmed by what are essentially temporary financial problems but the advisors at StepChange take away the stress and help the debtor see things in perspective again. I KNOW that’s not what ‘quantitive easing’ means but when I was looking for a title for this review the play on words seemed appropriate.
