Absolutely outstanding

I have found all the people I have spoken to at stepchange from the beginning to be lovely, helpful, kind and just there when you are going through something so hard in your life. Its not easy to say you need help with your finances especially to a stranger, but all the wonderful people I have been speaking to have been amazing, genuine and very understanding. Highly recommend step change. Changed my life

Before step change I was living off credit cards, the interest alone was crippling me and was unable to get ahead of them. A friend recommended step change and it changed my life. I provided a list of lenders with amountd i owed, thry contacted each one and negotiated a payment plan, freezing all interest. I can see every month my debt going down because of them. Moving in the right direction, StepForward in my case!

I lost control of my finances and it was too late to salvage it without professional help. I was given by my bank a few options and I chose StepChange. Life-changing! I then started receiving letters from the credit card companies accepting the payments arrange by StepChange. I received updates every now and then. StepChange completely removed the dark clouds over my head. After a few months, it all sunk in, I was actually being pulled out of the quicksand, from that overwhelming debts! A very big thank you to StepChange! They are a "must-have" in the back pocket. I am not suggesting to go guns-blazing with unnecessary expenses, but it is definitely worth knowing there is help when needed. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026
