StepChange were absolutely fantastic when I was faced with sorting out my husband's credit card/bank debt problem which had built up unknowingly during the onset and development of dementia. I was in despair when I discovered it and just didn't know what to do. They were sympathetic and were very patient and understanding during a 2 1/2 hour telephone conversation. Kept telling me not to worry and we could sort it out, they were truly wonderful. The debt management plan has now been in place for 4 1/2 years and has been faultless in its execution. In 18 months the debt should finally be paid off. The debt is being paid off at a rate which is affordable to us making allowance for all other household bills, payments and contingency plans. I am extremely grateful to StepChange and have no hesitation in recommending them in the highest possible way. Reviewed on: 15th May 2024

I feel more relax not thinking about all the debts and where to get the money to pay all my debts. I can sleep now and eat properly .and advice some of my friends to just spend what really substantial not to over spend . Dont buy expensive things just enough whatever you have earned. StepChange helped me in my life when I needed it. They made the whole process very easy to understand and help me if I have any issues. The customer service is excellent, the staff are very kind and give the best advice for your issue. Without StepChange I would have lost a lot in my life but due to them I'm on the road to financial recovery and have managed to keep my life on track.
