They handled my changes needed on my policy with tact courtesy and care following the death of my husband.

Useless and unhelpful

Was the victim of a no-fault claim 21st June - Swiftcover completely useless at every stage of the claim. Initially failed to have car collected... Was the victim of a no-fault claim 21st June - Swiftcover completely useless at every stage of the claim. Initially failed to have car collected to repair in timely manner, then wheels not balanced after tyre replacement when returned 'fixed'. Then claims team failed to pass claim through to recovery team for multiple weeks. Multiple weeks then pass before I chase again and it appears recovery team had not actioned. Today chasing once again as struggling to get renewal quotes with an open claim. Find out that the money had been claimed back from other side (actually same insurer Axa who run swiftcover), but because banking team had only had 7 working days they had yet to sign it off. No clear timeline for when this would happen. Ultimately, if you get insurance from Swiftcover it appears that part of the deal is you have to manage their claims and recovery teams in your spare time, but ensure you account for a minimum of 20 minutes on hold before getting through to somebody every time.     Not a reputable car insurer

    Draw you in with a cheap quote, then when you are forced to make a claim they do not deal with it properly. They side... My complaint is now in the hands of the Ombudsman for Mis-administration for both the claim and my complaint. DO NOT SIGN UP TO AXA/SWIFTCOVER CAR INSURANCE! Read more Read less

    Very poor customer service

    Belittled my elderly mum (who is registered blind) on the phone when she was calling to buy a policy because she doesn’t have a computer... Belittled my elderly mum (who is registered blind) on the phone when she was calling to buy a policy because she doesn’t have a computer (she can’t see!) and was repeatedly told they are an online only business. Even though their website appears very supportive of people who are vision impaired, they say they can send out documents in braille or extra large print, however there is no empathy or care to support people with such issues when they call for further help. Poor customer service that resulted in making my Mum cry post the call because she felt so excluded due to her disability. Shame on you Swiftcover. Read more Read less

    Worst Customer service if you need to make a claim!!!

    Made a claim for small car park accident in October no communication from Swift cover after endless emails & phone calls chasing. Swift cover say... Swift cover say knew nothing of the claim submitted yet in October they sent me to a accident repair garage to get a quote which the garage submitted straight away and we are still awaiting swift cover to approve or acknowledge all the chasing of the quote from their approved garage. Worst customer service ever!!! Ok till you need to make a claim then they disappear. First claim in over 23 years.. Been loyal to Swiftcover for years but wont stay now... Read more Read less

    I filed an accident claim on 6th Sept/2024 and on 10...

    I filed an accident claim on 6th Sept/2024 and on 10th Sep/2024 the insurance company called me to settled the total loss amount which was... I filed an accident claim on 6th Sept/2024 and on 10th Sep/2024 the insurance company called me to settled the total loss amount which was to be credited to my bank account within 5 to 7 days but it was passed after 7 days. The fixed settled amount was not received. When i asked to Swfitcover on phone call, the representatives kept transferring the call to each other and after waiting for a long time, they were told to wait until next Tuesday, If the total loss settlement is not deposited in your bank account on Tuesday, then contact again, this situation is happening to me for the first time in 17 years, really bad experience with this insurance company. Lack of proper coordination between different departments leading to waste of time in passing the customer call to different representative which shows company lack of goodwill. Not paying the client despite fixing the settlement amount and wasting time and various pretexts. Read more Read less
