Responsive, Cheerful, and Positive

I have found all dealings with FBS straightforward and the staff I have dealt with have been unfailingly responsive and positive when responding to my enquiries. Peace of Mind? Choose FBS

We are in our late 70s, and still had a mortgage with smother Lender which was interest only. We found ourselves in a position whereby we could revert to paying capital and interest. However,our Lender informed us that they were unable to accommodate our wishes and gave us notice that we would be required to pay off our mortgage by the beginning of 2027. This meant that we would have to sell our property, which we had lived in for 50 years. After checking out other Lenders, the only offers surrounded equity release which we did not want. We had all but given up hope when I read about FBS and their policy of supporting borrowers in yhere 70s+ .Having made initial contact with FBS, we were delighted with their caring approach to older Borrowers. The customer care was very professional and their product knowledge first class. Having come through the affordability stage of the process we were assigned a Mortgage Adviser, Peter Cook.It was an inspired choice because Peter was absolutely superb. Very professional and forensic in his approach, Peter guided us seamlessly through the process. His knowledge and expertise was invaluable in us securing approval. Peter was always available for discussion and to answer any queries. He was painstaking in his support and his support and involvement have given us peace of mind now that our mortgage with FBS has been approved. We'll done FBS and we'll done Peter Cook. Thank you. Mortgage Service Team personal phone service

Mortgage products for pensioners

Although nothing has been finalised yet my initial opinion of this company couldn't be higher. Highly attentive and polite staff (Aimee) offering products which many other lenders walk away from. Reviewed on: 30th July 2026
