Overly negative and technical on completion document...

Overly negative and technical on completion documentation. We sent the information in digital form from a very reputable legal outfit (Shoosmiths) only to be told this was not good enough. They are a recognised entity and signed by a partner. Very poor form for you. Reviewed on: 24th September 2026

Our completion requirements are designed to ensure that all mortgage transactions meet our regulatory, legal and security obligations. As a lender, we must apply the same standards consistently to all cases, regardless of the size or standing of the law firm involved. We appreciate that this may have felt frustrating, particularly when documentation had already been supplied electronically. However, our teams are required to follow the same completion procedures for every case to protect both our customers and the Society. Response date: 29th September 2026

Outstanding telephone appointment

I booked an appointment with Louise, a new business representative at 9.30 am this morning to discuss our mortgage requirements. I received a call, almost exactly on time and she explained how the appointment would progress. Her telephone manner and attention to detail was excellent and I certainly felt at ease giving her our financial and private information. Overall a great experience. Reviewed on: 11th September 2026

Fantastic Support from Start to Finish

I was supported and advised by Serena throughout the process, and she was absolutely fantastic. She was always patient, considerate and incredibly helpful. There are a lot of questions to work through and, at times, it can be difficult to understand exactly what everything means. Serena took the time to explain things clearly, never made me feel rushed, and was excellent at making what could have felt quite complicated much easier to understand.
