Overpriced for existing customers

After 10 years of insuring my HMO with Total Landlord insurance my renewal came round and was significantly more expensive than I hoped. It has steadily risen over the years and I've not shopped around. But this time they really were hiking my premium up, by 21% in fact. After a few phone calls I went elsewhere for half of my previous premium. Asking for an explanation from TLI and seeing if they could match price for a decade long client, plus NEVER making a claim, some nonsense stock response about hardening markets, rate loads, etc. Just a rip off. I've spend hundreds of pounds more each year than I needed to with this company. Shop around. Reviewed on: 26th September 2022
