It was simple buying insurance on line and when I had to cancel my holiday I was refunded quickly and easily although the excess I had to pay was quite high but I should have noticed that when I bought that particular insurance policy. Reviewed on: 28th July 2017

Public hospital

Had a long winded letter basically telling me this is not private health insurance. I was taken off a cruise so time was important as the ship left at 8,o'clock that evening.The on board doctor made the appointment at this hospital.Had a scan which I paid for and was then told to find a public hospital. Could not walk at the time and did not fancy getting a bus to another hospital where waiting times are 4-7hrs. People who think they are getting a good deal with this company beware,they want you in a public hospital because you are covered by your EHIC card.This means they don't pay any money for treatment. Amazingly good experience!

After trawling the Internet for hours and getting quotes as far apart as £2000 and £374, persistance won the day and I found Travel Insurance 4 Medical which excelled all others. I am over the moon and hastened to buy this fantastic quote of £171.81 before it disappeared!
