Misleading bicycle cover

I have had premium Velosure bike insurance for the last 4 years for a racing bike ($15,500.00 cover). After an accident with frame / component... I have had premium Velosure bike insurance for the last 4 years for a racing bike ($15,500.00 cover). After an accident with frame / component damage (my first claim) I was informed that Velosure would settle the claim for $4,100.00 based on depreciated value of the frame. Replacement value $7,500.00. I have been paying premiums based on the original cost of the bike, not the depreciated value, with the expectation that they would replace damaged frame / component like for like. I have since cancelled my policy. I would not use them again. Read more Read less

    Easy claim process

    I have had to claim a couple of times and it has been pretty straightforward. Just had to provide information about the incident and they they took it from there.

    I had never made a claim with an insurance - and expected the process to be long winded and painful. Velosure staff was supportive and... I had never made a claim with an insurance - and expected the process to be long winded and painful. Velosure staff was supportive and efficient when my bike got stolen. I received the money really quickly which meant I could buy a new bike - which I really needed because it was my main mode of transport. I was grateful. Read more Read less

Have looked at alternative providers before now and none seem to offer anything cheaper with the same cover, etc. Provides pretty much everything I need re: cover. Read more Read less
