If you always pay your balance in full each month, it can be a useful tool. But if you carry a balance, the cost becomes excessive. If you're primarily interested in credit building, consider alternatives like Barclaycard Forward, Asda Money Select, or Tesco Foundation, which offer lower APRs and some rewards.
