Dreadful experience

I am sharing my personal experience with Cashplus bank and I do hope to help other consumers to choose the best bank for them. I have opened a business account with Cashplus because of the speed of account opening. Shortly after alimenting the account I have been informed that my company account will be closing. This notice arrived by email with no reasons given and was utterly unexpected. I have started a regular business and invested own funds as shareholder only. The online access to my bank account was suspended at the same time, meaning as the company Director I cannot access the funds of my own company. I was advised that all funds must be removed and I was asked to provide an alternative business account to transfer all funds. I have provided the alternative account to the “Cashplus review team”. However, Cashplus does not transfer the funds, but keeps creating new deadlines as they please. First deadline was 5 working days, today I was told 30 days to transfer my company’s funds to the new account. Which bank requires 30 days for a faster payment? Cashplus is severely impacting my business operations by unrightfully denying access to my company’s funds. This is not in any way a professional behaviour nor a professional communication as expected by a licensed bank. I have raised a formal complaint and escalated to the Financial Ombudsman. I need now prepare an official claim against Advanced payment solutions Ltd. for the incurred damage to my business. I am fearing for my lifetime savings which I invested in my company as a shareholder. Ref. 80000100576101 I strongly advice to review the operations of the bank, esp. of the “Cashplus review team”. They seem to work with an early stage AI to detect fraud. Fair enough, but it essentially kicks out regular customers, potentially damages your business severely and afterwards you need weeks to get your own funds back. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2023

Please avoid this bank.

Please avoid this bank. They seem to accept a majority of applicants in the beginning and the application process is very short. However, they are completely unreliable and close accounts on short notice and without explanation if your business model is not preferred for them. Also they try and push you into paid accounts immediately, if you want increases of account limits. International payments are impossible. This bank is not a reliable partner for your business. I recommend take a bit more time and apply with a proper high street bank. Reviewed on: 15th December 2022

I was scammed, Cashplus refuse to refund me

I was the victim of a telephone scam last week and have lost over a thousand pounds as a result. I reported this scam to Cashplus immediately, and feel they have shown no empathy towards me. In fact they made me feel like I was the one who had done something wrong, asking why I hadn't challenged the caller. They are refusing to refund me, and to make matters worse, they have sent my replacement bank card using the Royal Mail who are on strike, so I have no idea when it will arrive. That means I am getting into more debt putting all of my bills onto a personal credit card. Appalling service, Cashplus are penalising me for a crime which was not my fault. The worst bank I have ever used

Why would anyone bank with Cashplus? I feel foolish to have opened an account with them. Appalling lines of communication. The staff seem as disappointed to be working for them as I do banking with them. The have again locked my business account and I have been refused access for over a week even though I have done all that they ask. It is quite shocking that they have been granted a banking licence. Save your self. Do not open an account and if you have one then move your account quickly before they lock you out from access to your money. Reviewed on: 26th September 2022

Extremely poor service

Today is the 20th Sept 2022. I called CashPlus on 25th August regarding funds that did not get credited to my account. "Dan" told me an email would be sent to confirm this, as CashPlus does not accept Euro payments from Andorra. I chased this up on 2nd Sept, and "Teegan" apologised for the email having not been sent, and said this would be rectified. On 9th Sept, I called again and spoke with "Peter" who said CashPlus don't send emails, but would ensure a letter explaining the situation would be sent to my home address. On 14th September, I spoke with "Max" who confirmed no letter had been sent. He apologised and said a manager would call me within 2 working days and get an email plus a letter sent to me. Today, as mentioned, is 20th September. I spoke with "Ben", who said he would escalate this case to his manager, who is basically too busy in a meeting to talk with me. What I need to know is why does a bank take so long to send an email or a letter to a customer? The amount of effort this bank has taken to avoid doing the right thing is beyond comprehension. Proof of FCA corruption and incompetence, This fake bank is insolvent

Cashplus is proof that the FCA have failed in their duty to protect customers and their funds from a rogue payment provider. This fake bank is clearly bribing the FCA to stop them from being shutdown. Every review and every complaint is the same. Customers open a bank account and the minute they deposit funds, the funds are immediately frozen and access is blocked. The FCA has failed to act in any of these thousands of instances. An employee of Cashplus disclosed that the bank is not only insolvent but that they are freezing customer funds and transferring the monies to an interest bearing account where they earn money for the directors. This is clearly theft and it needs to be publicised. The FCA are either completely useless or part of the crime and are openly turning a blind eye to this criminal activity. Fristrated

6 months after running the account, they 'required' more info & copies of client contracts. Not acceptable! 5 times their promise to ring back has been broken. Absolute disgrace:! Reviewed on: 28th May 2022
