Zempler Bank offer two personal current accounts – the Freedom account and the Activeplus account.

The Freedom account has no monthly fees and the Activeplus account is £5.95 per month. There may be fees for sending money and withdrawing or paying in cash. Both accounts come with the option to add on an overdraft.

Racist unhelpful bank

They closed my account down without giving me a reason why leaving me, the sole parent to a toddler and somebody who was 8 months pregnant, with no access to my money for over a week. They made no effort to help me when I told them I couldn’t buy food and look after my family. They discriminated against me because of my race as they did it to all my political colleagues at the same time. Reviewed on: 22nd March 2024
