It took over a month to get a reply to my claim. It took over a month to get a reply to my claim. Then only to send details to your underwriters. Still waiting a reply from them for over a week!!! Reviewed on: 7th October 2025

Straightforward competitive Boat insurance company.

I’ve been with Craftinsure many years now they always give a fair competitive quotes and they used to offer interest-free instalments which unfortunately since they’ve been taken over by Ripe this is no longer the case which is a little bit of a negative if I’m honest. but that aside, whenever I’ve needed them they’ve been there. Sail write off made good!

I made a claim on a damaged sail. The repair was going to cost £600, a new sail was £1650. I explained that a repaired sail would not perform as well as the damaged sail did before the damage. Craftinsure agreed to ‘split the difference’ and a settlement of £1000 which I was very satisfied with. Reviewed on: 14th July 2026
